He Walks. | "He talks." | He Thinks.
Being sent away from his home to start some trial he did not believe in, was probably the best thing that could happen for Desmond. He did not wish to be apart of some pack that was just filled with all these traditions and ceremonies that he had to attend and partake in. His father had forced his paws, even without knowing it. By wanting his young to be the very best, Desmond felt as though he was not worthy to be within their lands. He was not wanting to destroy a family all for the sake of bringing home some sort of trophy to his pack. He would rather leave the birds to themselves and he go find a new, safer place to live. Trudging through the waters was hard and a few times he felt like just giving up. His life would end, but it may be easier than being a failure in the eyes of his own father. Desmond hated that he had to do this. But he was left with no other option at this point. When he made it to shore, he took a day or two to relax before heading away from Kairos permanently. He could smell the tracks of Valak, though he didn't want any part of being around him. He would rather avoid that monstrosity of a brother altogether.
He moved along his path, not really sure where he was going, but making sure he was not crossing any borders along his way. The wolf continued and continued for what seemed like days, maybe longer. Finally he found a place that he thought was furthest from the land he once called home. He saw an island in the distance, but did not wish to go through waters yet again. He stood a few feet from the border and raised his nose into the air, giving a call to whoever would hear him. He was a little hungry, as he had been able to hunt smaller meals for himself, but it had been a long while since he was able to hunt some real game. Unfortunately for him, his albino nature made the summer hard. The sun was very difficult on his delicate eyes, so he tried to find shade the best he could. He would wait as long as he needed to for a member of this pack to find him. Hopefully, this would be his new home for the rest of his days, as long as they were peaceful and didn't force him into anything he didn't wish to do.
