Being a canine of mixed breeds- and especially those of non-wolf species- Echo's backstory is perhaps a bit different than that of other canines wandering the mainland of Anikira. Both of her parental figures could be considered disappointments in their own ways- her mother a failed livestock dog who had been overshadowed by a sibling, her father becoming far too unstable for police work after the untimely death of his mother. The two dogs could not be more different in terms of personality and upbringing, and yet fate deemed it fit to bring them together all the same. Lisanna, being naive as to the ways of the wild and having little in the way of survival skills that might enable her to survive in a land ruled by stronger canines, came across Masyn one fateful day, and the male was quick to take her in as a slave of the Elysium pack, caring for her in his own twisted way. Though their relationship went through its fair share of struggles- the move to another pack after Elysium was taken over by one of Mara's former underlings, or Lisanna being raped by a wolf that she came across at precisely the wrong time, causing her to become pregnant and for Masyn to temporarily abandon her out of disgust- the two still persisted in order to produce their first pure dog litter, of which Echo was a part.
At first glance, Echo does not seem like the kind of canine who would feel at home within the ranks of a pack as morally dubious as Ravenis is. Small and demure, with sparkling blue eyes and a speckled coat, the mixed-breed dog looks about as intimidating as a spring lamb even at the best of times. With her seemingly chipper personality, it's even harder to believe that Echo was indeed born into the family that she was- the little female seems to view everything with an overwhelmingly optimistic approach, chirping out her words at a rapid-fire pace like a canary, and heaven help the poor canine she happens to come into contact with who only wants a bit of peace and quiet in their day. She seems to abhor any kind of physical violence, shying away from those who turn hostile attentions onto her or quavering in the face of canines who may be larger and stronger than she, and all in all gives off the impression of a canine who is perfectly content to sulk and be cowardly and hide behind stronger individuals for the rest of her life.
But beneath that delicate demeanor lies a far darker canine. On the outside, Echo is quick to show her emotions to the outside world, but this is only a farce- the true Echo is one that is cold and unfeeling, who cares for no one other than herself and her immediate family. Wolves should form relationships with her at their own peril, for she sees little point in seeking out friendships unless the other canine can benefit her in some way, and she's just as quick to dispose of a potential ally once they no longer prove of any use to her as she is to keep them around. Viewing everyone around her as pawns to be used at her leisure, Echo will often use her demure status to her advantage in interactions with other canines- many a canine has taken pity on what they thought was a young and defenseless pup, only to find their food or other personal objects stolen from under their noses once they were foolish enough to turn their back on her.
Obsessed to an almost unnatural degree with her beauty, Echo finds any form of physical combat to be barbaric in nature, and much prefers the allure of sexual endeavors to a fight should she long for some kind of release to put her emotions into. Rather, she enjoys studying more subtle ways of ending another canine's life- poisons, methods of torture, any way that she can avoid getting unnecessary blood upon her paws. Had she been born into another life, Echo would perhaps have been a great healer, using her knowledge of all things herbal to aid other canines in recovery from illnesses or pain- but being born into Ravenis has twisted the young girl into a darker version of herself, one that is not afraid to scheme and manipulate in order to get her way in life.
