Summer has finally arrived! The sun has melted the snows in the north and the southern territories are beginning to grow uncomfortably hot and dry. Pups are being born and life seems to finally be getting back to normal after the cure for the disease was found. But how long will it last?
The cure has been found! Wolves on Anikira are recovering from the disease and life is moving forward with the promise of pups in many packs. And yet darkness looms on the horizon, daring the creatures of Anikira to relax and allow themselves to get comfortable once more.
[attr="class","post"]Adriel had always been a traveler at heart, even though she had technically 'settled down' she still liked to stretch her legs every now and again. Adriel could never just be a homebody, she needed to have some sort of freedom even if she was bound to Foraz. So on this particularly cool evening she found herself a few random territories over. This one had no scent markers upon it and it seemed to be abandoned for months. It was almost a little spooky with the thick layer of fog that enshrouded the land. But Adriel had never been afraid of anything and a little bit of fog and cold air could never intimidate her. Her lithe form seemed to dance across the terrain as she made her way across the rocky alcoves. There were boulders scattered across the plains with a few spare savanna trees every couple of steps. It was certainly a different change of scenery but Adriel welcomed it. She moved with ease, unbothered by the ever darkening sky and the few scattered pumpkins that guided her path. Occasionally she would stop to sniff a few, even going as far as digging her claws into the pumpkins to smash them open and eat the seeds on the inside. It was a pleasant change from the same old meals she had every day and eventually she was satisfied enough to move on with her journey. She liked the fact that this place was borderline empty, it was something that she reveled in.
The grass was dead and dry beneath her paws when she eventually hit a patch of flat land. She paused for a second to sit upon the ground and groom her coat, removing any left over pumpkin residue in the process. While she was sitting a sound up ahead caught her attention. She had assumed she was alone out here, the terrain was pretty large and empty after all. But apparently she wasn't the only one who didn't mind a walk in the dark. She perked up a bit, eyes watching and narrowing as she waited to catch a brief glimpse of whoever had decided to join her. And eventually he, yes he (from what she could smell), came into view. The view however was a pretty gnarly one. His coat had many missing patches of fur and in their place was open wounds and blisters. He stunk of death and decay and she simply sat and watched him instead of moving from her position. "Well don't you smell foul." She commented nonchalantly as she waited for his response.

The temperatures had significantly dropped compared to what it had been the past few days. The bouts of wind was made up of cool air that felt piercing as it ruffled through the canine’s pelt. This reminded Ignotus how winter was closely approaching. The caramel pointed brute’s fur was thinning instead of growing like it should be this time of year. If it got too cold, he would more than likely die from hypothermia. The progression of the disease was causing more and more bald patches to form.and for the fur that was still there, it was too thin to protect his body from the piercing cold air that the wind brought. Each time it would ruffle his fur, Ignotus would break into bouts of shivering. It was pertinent for him to find shelter for darkness was beginning to engulf the sky. Another gust of wind blew by causing the Isles male to feel the need to shiver again. He had to get moving or he was going to meet an untimely death. Ignotus began to run west as fast as his weak body would let him.
Ignotus started looking around frantically for anything that could serve as a temporary shelter. Everywhere he looked, there was grass as far as the eye could. There wasn’t any place at all for him to turn in for the night but he continued to run in hopes that he would eventually find one. The wolf was too focused on this task that he overlooked the small patch of pumpkins causing him to trip on one and tumble to the ground. Thankfully the ground that broke his fall was soft but he ended up landing on one of his sores causing an intense amount of pain to shoot through his body. “Fucking pumpkin,” he said in a low growl. Once he steadied himself on all fours, he picked up the crop and took a bite into it and then violent threw it to the side. He spat out the seeds that the pumpkin had left behind and went on his way as if his fall never happened. The pain from the dirt getting into his wounds still lingered but it was tolerable enough that it wouldn’t hinder him.
His search was interrupted once again when the scent of a female entered his nostrils. This was the third female he had met since making landfall on Anikira. The past two had deeply annoyed Ignotus and they ended up paying for it when his fangs punctured their skin. However, the Isles male was too exhausted to do anything about this one except for maybe asking her where some shelter was. The caramel point started to approach her but came to a halt when the monochrome female opened her maw. He smirked and revealed his fangs to the stupid girl. She was messing with the wrong guy and he would make sure that she knew it. “You know it’s not nice to talk to strangers, right, little one?” In one swift move, he could easily infect her so that her pretty little pelt would eventually cease to exist. Maybe that would teach her a lesson and she sure did need one.

Jaidah is one of the albinos on the site, a brand new character brought to life by a brand new player. It is interesting to see how such a pure looking being could be wrapped up in the angsty claws that is Irkalla! We will definitely be staying in-tune with this character to see just what heights Bird is able to take her!
