[attr="class","wintersirenText1"]The leaves of autumn were changing. They were dropping from the trees that were once filled with such lush green life. Of course, there were very little trees within the lands of Khalsa, but Siren knew it would be that time right now. She had recovered from not only giving birth once this year, but twice. The second group of pups, however, did not make it. It was heart-breaking and made her feel very upset by it, but she knew she had Tayas' pups to take care of, as well as her own. She loved them very much, as they were with the male that she loved. These little wolves would grow to be big and strong, they would see the love that the parents had for one another. They would be able to feel it. Lately, Siren had been sticking to her pups, not seeing much of the man she had fallen madly in love with. Where had he been? Didn't he want to be around his family? Surely he was not that busy with the pack needs.
Siren decided that it was time for her to move from the main Khalsa lands. She wanted to stretch her legs and get some time away from the pups. She knew that she could rely on Galadriel to watch the young. She would not go anywhere or allow the pups to get hurt. She got up from the den and headed to the lands they had just recently claimed as their own. She had been there a few times since then, and she liked the small oasis she had found there. The water was cool to the touch most of the year. During the summer heat it had been a blessing. She often moved to allow her paws to rest in it, keeping track of her young as well. The small female shifted quickly from paw to paw, her shoulders rolling as she made her way through the lands. Her mind was set on one thing: Kalique. She wanted to be with him, to be his main source of attention, and to feel his body pressed against her own.
When she finally made it to the water, her ears pressed forward and she lifted a single paw, thrusting it into the water with vigor. The ripples started out small, but spread open wide as the vibrations pushed the calm waters away from her paw. But it was short lived, she moved further into the water, allowing her chest to become damp. Her tail also became soaked, and soon she submerged her whole form in the water. It was chilly and when it touched her skin, she did shiver softly. She knew that within a few months, her coat would thicken and she would barely even feel any of the cold feelings she was feeling now. Her head breached the water as she took a deep breath. Getting up on her paws, she moved back for the shore and began cleaning herself off. She knew the water would dry up eventually, but it didn't hurt to help it progress a little. She wanted to look her best for him, whenever he decided to come and seek her out.
In his absence, he was all that she could think about - he was all she dreamed about. She was happy that their family was growing and thriving. She hoped that he would be proud of her, seeing that she alone was caring for all of their young. Tayas was no more, gone from the lands. She had always been a lot of help to Siren, but now she had only herself to rely on.
