Summer has finally arrived! The sun has melted the snows in the north and the southern territories are beginning to grow uncomfortably hot and dry. Pups are being born and life seems to finally be getting back to normal after the cure for the disease was found. But how long will it last?
The cure has been found! Wolves on Anikira are recovering from the disease and life is moving forward with the promise of pups in many packs. And yet darkness looms on the horizon, daring the creatures of Anikira to relax and allow themselves to get comfortable once more.
True to her nature as always, Saeran had gone in search of something beautiful. A deep desire to find somewhere that she might call home had settled into her bones, driving her to begin said search. It had been a surprise, to be sure; in her past, she had preferred belonging to only herself, to exploring and moving and never staying in one area for too long. But slowly, inevitably, she’d grown bored of that. While she enjoyed adventure, she did not enjoy solitude, and the nights curled up in silence had grown lonely. And so it was that she’d decided: she was in need of a home.
Wherever it was that she found, it would need to be perfect– a place that was stunning, that she could explore and gaze upon fondly, a place that would not penalize her for her carefree spirit and indulgent behavior. She’d wandered Anikira long enough to have cultivated snippets and whispers concerning several of the packs and their natures: the fearsome Kairos, the neutral Aludri, the peaceful Eden, and so many others in-between. None of them had been particularly appealing to her…until now.
Eleos, from what she had heard, was more paradise than pack. A place for freedom, a place for expression and celebration of life. Already she’d met some of the wolves who made up their ranks, and Saeran had no qualms with them. She’d considered her decision carefully for a while, giving herself time to change her mind…but she hadn’t. Instead, she had only grown more certain in her choice until at last the she-dog had risen with the sun and began her journey to the place that Eleos resided. To her immense pleasure, she’d found Kal’dyne a wonderous place. Though she had not explored it too deeply yet out of respect for the wolves that resided there, she could see much of it from her place atop the ridge she’d found herself at the peak of when she’d crossed the northern border. A thick layer of mist was draped around her ivory mantle, which crept down the side of the rocky incline and mingled amidst the trees below, their dew-coated leaves sparkling in the sunlight.
The sight sent a shiver of delight down her spine; she had always been so weak for beauty. For a long moment she allowed herself to simply drink in the sight, dark chocolate eyes half-lidded, before at last she did what she had come to. Tossing her head back, a melodic howl slipped from her lips, ringing out and calling to the she-wolf whose scent was thick along the border. After several heartbeats the howl tapered off, and Saeran lowered her muzzle, waiting.
She could not wait to lay eyes on whoever it was that would answer her. Words: 466 Tags:Freya Muse: CRAPPY BUT /SHRUG Notes: <3
[attr="class","pltxt"]Killian had never been one to rest peacefully through the night. There were often times he would find himself stirring awake. Tonight was no exception. It forced him to wander, to get up from his slumber, alongside his young. He wandered from the place that they had always slept in. Since the day they were born, he had not left their sides at night. Recently Ista and the dumb lion had been away from the pack, wandering to who knew where. He knew they would return, and he knew that Plato would protect her from all harm. He was not worried about them, and when they were ready - they would come home. For now, the pack was closely helping with the pups, Freya especially. Watching her with his son and daughter filled his heart with such joy. He could not control the thoughts that fluttered to the foregrounds of his mind whenever he saw her. He loved her, just as he did when he was a young wolf and just as he always would.
He walked all through the night, on until morning. He took a deep breath and continued on his path. He was checking the borders, making sure the scents of both behemoths were present. If they faltered in any area, he would cover it with his urine. Nobody would be foolish enough to cross the boundaries of their pack, no matter how little it seemed to be. Killian could feel the warm rays of the morning sun rising over his back. It soaked through to his dark fur that littered his body, as though it was clinging on for dear life. But he didn't mind it, and he did not find himself to be tired. He was at peace with the way things were. Killian was alert to his surroundings, but when he heard the howl - it startled him. It was an odd sound, something that was not pure wolf. It sounded like a wolf a little bit, but the sound was unique - unlike anything he had ever heard before.
He moved for the sound, heading towards the creature that had made such a noise. It held out for a long while and though he was unsure of what it could be, he was not afraid. Killian feared very little in his life, not even death scared him. The wolf made his way through the jungles, pushing past any low hanging branches or vines. When the creature was in sight, it was a simple silhouette at first. He raised his head into the sky and gave a howl back to her, so that she would know where he was at. He did not wish to frighten the possible new member of their pack. From what he could tell, she did not hold loyalty to another pack. She was free to make her own decisions. He stepped forward, allowing the both of them to see each other much better than before. He was much larger than her, but that was average for him.
He was much larger than many of the wolves that chose to come to them. He towered over Ista and he was pleased to know that she had passed their children into this life without little struggle. "You have found yourself among the lands of Eleos. I am Killian. Who are you?"

Jaidah is one of the albinos on the site, a brand new character brought to life by a brand new player. It is interesting to see how such a pure looking being could be wrapped up in the angsty claws that is Irkalla! We will definitely be staying in-tune with this character to see just what heights Bird is able to take her!
