Winter has gripped Anikira alongside a dangerous and deadly disease that has begun to spread throughout the continent. Three brothers emerged from the Southern Isles searching for a cure. Will they find it on Anikira?
Snow is falling all over the North while Winter brings the wet season to the south. The disease is slowly spreading, and so far there is no cure in sight. Who will find it? And will it be in time to save Anikira and The Southern Isles?
[attr="class","pltxt"]She had been a member of Airila for a little of three months now she she still felt like a stranger to the area. She had hardly met any of her packmates making her feel relatively lonely. The only two members she met were two males by the names of Mufasa and Aeris who was just a young pup. Her meeting with Mufasa hadn’t been the best one for the large male kept questioning everything she said, speculating every word that came out of her maw. The more she thought about it more, the more she realized she couldn’t really blame him. She had woken up on their land making her a trespasser and she said that she didn’t know how she got there. If the roles were reversed, Ari would have felt the same way the male did but it still left a bad taste in her mouth and she wasn’t sure if she were to ever want to encounter him again. He was merciful enough to accept her into the pack and Ari didn’t want to make him change his mind. Perhaps in time the two could have a more pleasant encounter but only time would tell.
Aeris on the other hand had been extremely welcoming but part of it could be because of her age. The female hadn’t even hit a year old yet which made her still a puppy and puppies were easily excitable and often letting curiosity getting the better of them. Though the young female had made questions for the larger female, she didn’t mind her company for she was extremely nice and Ari honestly needed something like that. Due to the lack of encountering others, she felt like she wasn’t welcome and that others purposely tried to avoid her but that encounter with Aeris made her think different, maybe she was just paranoid and that she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time when she wanted to meet others. If she would want to meet others, she would have to continue to go search for them and not just hope that they would come seeking for her.
There was only one problem with that though and that was that the weather lately had made it impossible to leave where she had found shelter for from the snow. It had been snowing consistently these past couple days and the temperatures had continued to drop making going outside unfavorable. However, today the snow had finally let up which allowed Ari to go out if she wished which she did so she set out from the packs dens hoping to encounter someone or to at least get some food since she was borderline starving. As she made her ways out of shelter she found in the cave that went under the mountain, she began to make her way to the forest that covered most of the Shyia from what she had heard. Even though the snow had stopped, the temperatures still hadn’t warmed up enough to melt the snow the nestled itself on the ground. With each step she took, she could feel the cold shooting up her paw into her leg as the chilly wind brushed against her paws that were soak and wet from the snow. Ari was beginning to regret her decision to leave the cave and she began to hope that leave would end up being wouldn’t be for nothing.
Albion found that he could not get the silver eyes smudged with brown out of his mind, and he felt the warmth in his cheeks whenever Tethys came to mind. She was older than he was, but, she had been so nice and pretty and Albion swore that he would never encounter someone prettier. Or nicer. So maybe he had his first crush, or well, what he supposed was a crush -- he had thought of going to his father about it, but it wasn't really important to an Alpha of a Pack, was it? Arche had more important things to deal with than Albion trying to navigate feelings.
The cold had not let up, and Albion kept a better eye on his surroundings now so that he didn't accidentally trespass back into Caurus again -- though it was where Tethys lived. Sighing softly, the young male continued through the snow, long, growing legs pressing against the cold Earth as he attempted his patrol. It was self-training, trying to train his nose, ears and eyes to be strong and efficient. He wouldn't be very useful if he was a failure, would he?
Green eyes narrowed as he shook Tethys from his mind, it was silly, just a silly, stupid crush on an older woman who really, really wasn't interested -- but shewasoprettyandnice and Albion wanted to see her again. Puffing his cheeks up, he determinedly lifted his chin and focused on the task at hand. Patrolling, that was the task, that was what was important right now -- and then his eyes caught sight of a large body of dark brown and his ears flew forward.
Quietly, he flared his nose as he slowed to a stop, trying to determine if she was of Aludri or not. After a few minutes of taking in the scents, he came to the conclusion that she was Aludri. It was faint, the scent that clung to her, but he was certain it was Aludri. He had been of the Pack all of his short life, he had to know the scent by now. Still, he hadn't met her before, even if she was Aludri. It was mostly his fault, he was always so determined to train from early on that it isolated him from those that called Aludri home.
His siblings included -- but they seemed to veer off themselves, anyway. It saddened him, but Albion knew they had to do their own thing. It didn't stop him from trying to peak a look at his parents to ensure they were still there, though. Which was silly, Arche was the leader, he wouldn't just abandon Aludri, but Alina was an innocent spirit and he watched to make sure that his mother was fine. Even if he would be rather useless in defending her, with his inexperience and growing body, but it didn't mean he wouldn't try if he had to.
Clearing his throat to the moving wolf, Albion stepped forward, his features respectful as he looked to her, "hello, miss." He greeted quietly, not wanting to speak too loudly or forcefully -- his voice had done a weird crack the other day and he was not willing to relive it. It was... it was rather embarrassing. What would he do if he sounded so silly again, but this time in front of a lady? She was rather big, he noted, but he did not really care. He knew wolves came in all shapes and sizes, and it didn't really phase him.
"I hope I haven't interrupted you," Albion added, "I just -- I haven't seen you around before. So I thought to introduce myself," the young wolf commented, attempting some confidence but it mostly came out sheepish. He didn't want to make anyone feel like he was avoiding them or didn't want to talk to them, where would his manners lay if he saw someone new, and just walked away without introducing himself to them? It was... it was unheard of, and he would not start being so rude and thoughtless.
[attr="class","pltxt"]It was almost as if someone or something had read her mind because all of a sudden, the scent of another entered the air she was breathing. Ari knew only a couple individuals within the pack but it was enough to allow her to know the general smell of the pack. After inhaling the air through her nostrils a couple more times, she was able to determine that whoever it was bore one of Aludri’s ranks. The discovery of this made the giant female happy since she had really been wanting to meet another member of the pack so that she could befriend them. She currently didn’t really have any friends here. The only individual she had a positive relationship with was Aeris but the two of them had only met briefly so they barely knew each other so she couldn’t really. The thought of the young pup made the Kenai Peninsula she wolf realize that whoever was approaching her smelled extremely similar to her. Was it possible that the two of them were related somehow?
Ari’s thoughts of what relation the two individuals might have was interrupted when the approaching wolf began to come into view. The figure her blue eyes were seeing belonged to a male. Given the male’s features, it was obvious that he was pretty young and that he was probably around Aeris’s age. The young male was much bigger to the young female that she had encountered though. In fact, the male was getting close to the brown female’s own size. It didn’t look like he was quite full grown yet so it was highly possible that what he was, he could easily end up at least equal to her in size, if not bigger. Though she doubted he would grow to be as big as Mufasa for he was a true giant. It was starting to seem like the males of the pack were big. Where all of the males of Aludri big like this or was this stranger and the male who accepted into her pack just an exception? It seemed like that each time she met a member of the pack that she had more questions than she did when she started out.
The large pup continued to approach her carefully and once he decided he was close enough he stopped and greeted her quietly. The brute then began to state that he hoped he hadn’t interrupted Ari which he hadn’t since she wasn’t doing anything. Apparently he had come by because he hadn’t seen her around before so he wanted to introduce himself to her even though he had yet to give her a name. Ari was glad that she no longer needed to regret leaving the warmth of the dens since he was in her company now which she was very thankful for. It would have been a bummer to have been sitting out in the cold for nothing.
“You didn’t interrupt anything at all. My name is Ari, it is a pleasure to meet you.”
She looked to him and for a moment he was startled -- bright blue eyes peaked out from the darkness of her fur. A flash of brown and white went through his mind as he peered at her, and he couldn't help but be reminded of Tethys. It was frustrating him, how often she returned to his mind, the older beauty that he had no business crushing on like he was. He forced himself to focus back on the newly named Ari, and he dipped his head with a small smile, "I'm Albion, are you new to Aludri, Miss Ari?"
He really ought to do better in meeting those of Aludri, really, but he was often so focused on trying to patrol that Albion fell short in that area. He was pledging to do better, though, and he would start with this lady. "Forgive me if not, I... could do better with introducing myself to others," he commented sheepishly, ducking his head down with a slight wilt to his ears.
Albion would not move to closer to her without her permission, preferring to keep a polite distance unless otherwise authorised. It was up to his conversation partner on how this would go, and Albion would respect her wishes. If she were new, Albion hoped that he could help in any way he could, though he knew the likelihood of someone seeking help from a pup was rather low. Still, Albion would do his best, as he always tried to.
[attr="class","pltxt"]The young male was very courteous as he talked to her. It was much different from what she was used to with males. The main male that was in her life for some time just used her to satisfy his sexual desires. Dio was never nice to Ari when he spoke to her, only venom came from his mouth he did so. It was because of this that she was really weary around males. One of the other males she had met was Mufasa who was in close with her alpha. It wasn’t that he was rude to her in the way that her father was, he was just weary of her, finding it hard to believe that the Kenai Peninsula had just woken up there. After Ari doing her best to try to say how she was being nothing but truthful, Mufasa eventually gave her a place in Aludri. The last male she had met was a pet named Aeris but their encounter had been cut short so she was unable to really get a feel for how he was. “It’s nice to meet you too, Albion. I am actually fairly new here, you are one of the first pack members I have met aside from Mufasa and Aeris” she replied as a warm smile formed on her maw.
It was true that she had yet to really meet anyone else. Despite given a home here, she felt like a stranger at first. This caused her to try and avoid any social contact with anyone and instead she just spent her days wandering around her home. Since there was only so much she could explore, it didn’t take long for the time to come when she had walked through the entirety of the Shyia. This left her with nothing else to do so it was time for her to open up and begin to allow others to come into her life, even if it was just for a single meeting. How her encounter was going so far with Albion was making it easy for her to not regret her decision to come out of her shell. Hopefully all of her encounters from here on out will be just as pleasant.
“Say, you smell an awful lot like Aeris. Do you know him by any chance?”

Brunilda initially started on Anikira from Foraz. She had been hand-chosen by the Commander, Olympus herself. She along with her partner in position - Rhett, saved the pack from a nosey and no-good intruder. It was in her dedication to Olympus and Foraz, that he again picked her to bring forth a treaty between Aludri and Foraz - joining them together. She continues to be a strong character with a good sense of right and wrong. We cannot wait to see what Susy does with her next!
